As with all things COVID, the reality of the matter is not as it appears. This now relates to the overall mortality rate which has been found to be inflated because of the employment of a new mortality classification rubric enacted for the pandemic.

The number of COVID-attributed deaths in Alameda County, California, fell by about 25 percent after authorities there changed their methodology for counting total mortality. The change in accounting had them removing deaths that weren’t a “direct result” of the disease or “in whom death caused by COVID-19 could not be ruled out.”

The county’s COVID mortality count, following the change, shows that 1,223 deaths were caused by the virus, 411 fewer than it previously reported; almost 25 percent.

“Alameda County previously included any person who died while infected with the virus in the total COVID deaths for the County,” the county’s public health department said in a statement.

Why This Is Important

It is a sad day when a trusted organization like the Center for Disease Control & Prevention must be questioned at every turn. But this is exactly what is required when a governmental agency, department of organization becomes politicized. Thanks to Dr. Fauci and those who supported his political agenda at the Center, this is, in fact, the case.

The CDC changed their cause of death coding criteria retroactively for the COVID pandemic. A study by medical professionals at the ChildrensHealthDefense.org dated July of 2020 concluded: “The CDC has instructed hospitals, medical examiners, coroners, and physicians to collect and report COVID-19 data by significantly different standards than all other infectious diseases and causes of death.

These new and unnecessary guidelines were instituted by the CDC in private, and without open discussion among qualified professionals that are free from conflicts of interest. These new and unnecessary guidelines were additionally instituted despite the existence of effective rules for data collection and reporting, successfully used by all hospitals, medical examiners, coroners, and physicians for more than 17 years.” A memorandum from the Iowa Department of Public Health dated December of 2020, chronicled the retroactive change to date back to March of that year: The new methodology will be applied retroactively to deaths reported to the state since March and will result in an increase in the number of Iowans whose deaths are attributed to COVID-19…”

And now, in hindsight, we are seeing counties starting to come clean in their COVID mortality reporting and coming to understand that the numbers of deaths due exclusively to COVID were grossly over-reported, the politicians on the Left and the media – and especially social media – running with the fear-mongering false narrative. This fear-mongering crashed an economy, cost children a year of education, killed small businesses, depleted families’ savings, and set our economy up for hyper-inflation, yet no one seems ready to tar and feather those responsible for this purely political move.

While the media and the Biden administration try to quietly advance the idea that China should be held accountable, what about the opportunistic political class here in the United States that stoked fear to win an election? Will they be held accountable and if not, why? And if not, who will be making the decision to give them a pass. We’d like names, please.
